West Virginia is known for its mountains and rivers, so it’s no surprise that it’s home to a large number of summer camps – surprisingly, more so than its “sister” to the east, in the state of Virginia.
While I was researching Virginia summer camp websites, I thought it would be interesting to also look at the websites for the West Virginia summer camps and see how their website designs stacked up against each other. West Virginia definitely has more summer camps than Virginia does, and more important to me, it also has more summer camp websites whose website designs I think are “above average”.
Below are some of the best websites of West Virginia summer camps that I could find. These made my list because of their unique website designs, their use of large photos on the websites, and their overall web design creativity.
Camp Twin Creeks – Marlinton, WV
The only thing I don’t like about this website is that the video on the top of the homepage takes up way too much space, and is a bit too fast-paced for me. Once you scroll down and get to internal pages, then you start to see the design elements I really like.
Camp Tall Timbers – High View, WV
I only wish they would have used a rotating image slider on the homepage – the same photo over and over gets really repetitive really quickly.
Camp Greenbrier – Alderson, WV
Camp Sandy Cove – High View, WV
Camp Rim Rock – Yellow Spring, WV
